An Individual, limited edition, example of vinyl art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single of Walk The Dog from 1981, by avant-garde artist Laurie Anderson. Released on the Warner Bros. record label, this vinyl single has been reworked into the silhouette of an expectant dog awaiting its walk.
Walk The Dog was part of a live performance, United States Live and was release as the b-side to the single, O Superman. Extracts from the 8 hour performance were released on her album Big Science. The Walk The Dog single was later included in the reissue of the album.
