Additional information about this, The Cure vinyl art.

The Cure – The Artist

The Cure are an English rock band formed in Crawley in 1976. The group has experienced continuous line-up changes over its lifespan, with vocalist, guitarist and principal songwriter Robert Smith being the only constant member. The band’s debut album was Three Imaginary Boys (1979) and this, along with several early singles, placed the band in the post-punk and new wave movements that had sprung up in the wake of the punk rock revolution in the United Kingdom. During the early 1980s the band’s increasingly dark and tormented music, as well as Smith’s stage look, was a staple of the emerging style of music known as gothic rock.

A Forest – The Song

A Forest is a song by the English alternative rock band the Cure. Co-produced by Mike Hedges and the band’s Robert Smith, it was released as a single from the band’s second album Seventeen Seconds in 1980. It was their debut entry on the UK Singles Chart, reaching number 31. Recorded and mixed over seven days, along with the rest of the songs from the album, “A Forest” is representative of the Cure’s early-1980s gothic rock phase. The song has featured on the band’s setlists for many years. Several versions have appeared on concert albums, and it was remixed and released as a single from Mixed Up in 1990.

The Tree – The Shape

Modelled into the silhouette of a fir tree. A forest is an area of land dominated by trees. Hundreds of definitions of forest are used throughout the world, incorporating factors such as tree density, tree height, land use, legal standing and ecological function. The Food and Agriculture Organisation defines a forest as land spanning more than 0.5 hectares with trees higher than 5 meters and a canopy cover of more than 10 percent, or trees able to reach these thresholds in situ. It does not include land that is predominantly under agricultural or urban land use. Using this definition FRA 2020 found that forests covered 4.06 billion hectares or approximately 31 percent of the global land area in 2020 but are not equally distributed around the globe.
