An Individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record silhouette art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single of Baby Stop Crying from 1978, by Bob Dylan. Released on the CBS record label, this vinyl single has been reworked into a silhouette of Bob Dylan based On Milton Glaser’s iconic design.
Milton Glaser a New York graphic designer, designed the well-known poster, copies of which were included in slipcovers of Bob Dylan’s Greatest Hits album when it was released.
Baby, Stop Crying is a song written by Bob Dylan, released as a single and in a longer album version on Street Legal. The song charted at #13 in the UK and was a top-ten song in much of Europe, although it failed to chart in the United States. In the song Dylan plays the role of consoler to a despairing woman, even asking for a pistol in the opening verse, claiming he “can’t tell right from wrong.”
