Bright Eyes – Art Garfunkel (1978)

An Individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record silhouette art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single of Bright Eyes from 1978, by Art Garfunkel. Released on the CBS record label, this vinyl single has been reworked into the silhouette of a rabbit.

Bright Eyes was written by Mike Batt and used in the soundtrack of the 1978 British animated adventure drama film Watership Down and the later television series of the same name. The song is about death and in the film plays when the rabbit Hazel, the lead character in the film, almost dies after being wounded by a farmer’s gun. Despite its morbid nature, Bright Eyes was a huge success across the US and the UK.
