An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single featuring the song, Don’t Leave Me This Way by The Communards (Jimmy Somerville / Richard Coles),  from 1986. The record was released on the London record label, in the UK, and has been reworked into the The Communards head logo with the single teardrop as featured on the record sleeve.

Don’t Leave Me This Way was written by Kenneth Gamble, Leon Huff and Cary Gilbert. First charting as a hit for Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes featuring Teddy Pendergrass in 1975.  Later, Don’t Leave Me This Way was a huge disco hit for Motown artist Thelma Houston in 1977. This version is by the British synth-pop duo The Communards in 1986 and it was one of their most popular hits.
