An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single featuring the single by Rod Stewart from 1975, Sailing. The record was released on the Riva / Warner Bros record label, in the UK, and has been reworked into the shape of a small yacht with its sail up.

Sailing was originally  written and recorded by The Sutherland Bros in 1972 but it received greater notoriety when recorded by Rod Stewart for his 1975 album Atlantic Crossing. It was a number 1 hit in the UK in September 1975 and returned to the UK top 10 a year later when used as the theme music for the BBC documentary series Sailor, about HMS Ark Royal. Having been a hit twice, it remains Stewart’s biggest-selling single in the UK, with sales of over a million copies.
