Additional information about this, The Jam vinyl art.

The Jam – The Artist

The Jam were an English mod revival/punk rock band during the 1970s and early 1980s, which formed in 1972 at Sheerwater Secondary School in Woking, in the county of Surrey. The group consisted of Paul Weller on bass and lead vocals, guitarist Steve Brookes and drummer Rick Buckler. While it shared the “angry young man” outlook and fast tempo of the contemporary mid-1970s’ British Punk Rock movement, in contrast with it the band wore smartly tailored suits reminiscent of English pop-bands in the early 1960s, and incorporated mainstream 1960s rock and R&B influences into its sound, particularly from The Who’s work of that period, and also drew influence from the work of The Kinks and the music of American Motown. This placed the act at the forefront of the 1970s/1980s nascent Mod revival movement.

That’s Entertainment – The Song

That’s Entertainment is a 1980 song by British punk-mod revivalist group the Jam from their fifth album, Sound Affects. It was written by Paul Weller. Although never released as a domestic single in the UK during the band’s lifetime, “That’s Entertainment” nonetheless charted as an import single (backed by a live version of “Down in the Tube Station at Midnight”), peaking at No. 21. It was given its first full UK release in 1983 and peaked at No. 60. A second reissue in 1991 also made the top 50. The minimalist, slice-of-life lyrics list various conditions of British working-class life.

The Vintage Jukebox – The Shape

Modelled into the shape of a vintage jukebox. A jukebox is a partially automated music-playing device, usually a coin-operated machine, that will play a patron’s selection from self-contained media. The classic jukebox has buttons with letters and numbers on them that, when entered in combination, are used to play a specific selection. Jukeboxes were most popular from the 1940s through the mid-1960s, particularly during the 1950s. By the middle of the 1940s, three-quarters of the records produced in America went into jukeboxes.
