Additional information about this, Fleetwood Mac vinyl art.

Fleetwood Mac – The Artist

Fleetwood Mac are a British-American rock band, formed in London in 1967. They have sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the world’s best-selling bands. Fleetwood Mac was founded by guitarist Peter Green, drummer Mick Fleetwood and guitarist Jeremy Spencer. Bassist John McVie completed the lineup for their self-titled debut album.  At this time it was primarily a British blues band, and after a series of guitarist changes they where replaced by Lindsey Buckingham from folk-rock duo Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. Buckingham only agreed to join Fleetwood Mac if Stevie Nicks also joined. The addition of Buckingham and Nicks gave the band a more pop rock sound, and their 1975 self-titled album, Fleetwood Mac, reached No. 1.

Albatross – The Song

‘Albatross’  is a guitar-based instrumental by Fleetwood Mac and composed by Peter Green. It was a major hit in several countries and became Fleetwood Mac’s only Number 1 hit in the UK Singles Chart, spending one week at the top.  The composition and its arrangement suggest a relaxing sea setting, with cymbals imitating the sound of waves and a dreamy guitar solo. It was first released in 1968 but reissued in 1972 but is still dated 1968 on the record.

The Albatross – The Shape

This 7″ record has been modelled into an albatross. The Albatross is a large seabirds in the family Diomedeidae. They range widely in the Southern Ocean and the North Pacific. Albatrosses are among the largest of flying birds, and species of the genus Diomedea (great albatrosses) have the longest wingspans of any extant birds, reaching up to 3.7 m (12 ft). They feed on squid, fish, and krill by either scavenging, surface seizing, or diving. Albatrosses are colonial, nesting for the most part on remote oceanic islands, often with several species nesting together. Pair bonds between males and females form over several years, with the use of “ritualised dances”, and last for the life of the pair. A breeding season can take over a year from laying to fledging, with a single egg laid in each breeding attempt.
