Dave Edmunds- The Artist

Dave Edmunds (born David William “Dave” Edmunds; 1944) is a Welsh singer, guitarist, and record producer who helped revive the sound of 1950s rock and roll and rockabilly during the 1970s and 1980s. He first rose to prominence as the lead guitarist of Love Sculpture, known for their high‑tempo instrumental “Sabre Dance,” before launching a successful solo career. His 1970 cover of Smiley Lewis’s “I Hear You Knocking” became a UK Christmas No. 1 and reached No. 4 in the US. In 1976 he co‑founded the band Rockpile with Nick Lowe, Billy Bremner and Terry Williams, combining pub rock, new wave and power pop influences, notably releasing the album Seconds of Pleasure in 1980. Throughout his career, Edmunds was also acclaimed as a producer, working with artists such as Nick Lowe and the Stray Cats. He released several notable solo albums including Repeat When Necessary (1979), D.E. 7th (1982) and Information (1983) before retiring in 2017. Regarded as a “musician’s musician,” Edmunds is celebrated for his crisp guitar style, deep respect for roots music, and bridging of eras in British and American rock traditions.

Baby I Love You – The Song

Baby I Love You  is a song written by Jeff Barry, Ellie Greenwich, and Phil Spector. It was recorded on July 5, 1963 at Gold Star Studios Hollywood by American girl group the Ronettes and released as a single in August 1963 and later placed on their 1964 debut LP Presenting the Fabulous Ronettes featuring Veronica. Ronnie Spector is the only Ronette to appear on the single; her future husband Phil produced their elaborately layered recording in what is now considered a quintessential example of his Wall of Sound production formula. This is a cover version by Dave Edmunds.

The Heart- The Shape

This record has been crafted into the silhouette of a heart. The heart shape and its meaning has evolved over hundreds of years. Nowadays it means love but before the 13th and 14th centuries it was generally drawn for decorative purposes. People at that time thought of our hearts as books of memory and believed feelings for the beloved were somehow written on your heart.
