Additional information about this, Shed Seven vinyl art.

Shed Seven – The Artist

Shed Seven are an English alternative rock band, formed in York in 1990. One of the groups which contributed to the Britpop music scene of the 1990s, they never attained the degree of mainstream success achieved by the likes of Oasis and Blur. They originally comprised singer Rick Witter, guitarist/keyboardist Joe Johnson, bassist Tom Gladwin and drummer Alan Leach. Johnson was later replaced by Paul Banks. They belonged to the post-Smiths wave of British musicians such as The Sundays and Marion, with a sound relying heavily on complex guitar arpeggios often in a minor key, and wailing vocals. At the height of their popularity between 1994 and 1999 they had fifteen Top 40 singles and four Top 20 albums in the UK.

Chasing Rainbows – The Song

Chasing Rainbows  is a song by British Indie rock band Shed Seven. It was taken from their album Let It Ride which is their third studio album, released in June 1998 via Polydor Records, and was the band’s first LP to be written solely by Rick Witter (lyrics) and Paul Banks (music).

Rainbow Chaser – The Shape

Modelled into the silhouette of a man chasing a rainbow and cloud. A rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon that is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky. It takes the form of a multicoloured circular arc. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the sun. Rainbows can be full circles. However, the observer normally sees only an arc formed by illuminated droplets above the ground, and centred on a line from the sun to the observer’s eye.
