An Individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record silhouette art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single of Father Figure from 1987, by George Michael. Released on the Epic record label, this vinyl single has been reworked into the silhouette Darth Vader from the film Star Wars .

Father Figure was written by George Michael and was taken from his debut album Faith. The song became a worldwide hit and a live favourite at Michael’s concerts for many years and is also one of his most frequently aired songs on the radio in the United Kingdom.

Darth Vader, the character was created by George Lucas and his appearances span the first six Star Wars films. Darth Vader was originally a Jedi prophesied to bring balance to the Force, he falls to the dark side of the Force and serves the evil Galactic Empire at the right hand of his Sith master, Emperor Palpatine. He is the father of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa.
