An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single featuring the Neil Sedaka hit single from 1961, Happy Birthday, Sweet Sixteen. Released on the RCA record label, in the UK, this 60s it has been reworked into the shape of a candle topped birthday cake.
The narrator sings the song to a childhood friend of his upon her sixteenth birthday, reminiscing about the ups and downs of their friendship thus far and declaring that now that she has grown from an awkward tomboy into a beautiful young lady, he wants her for his girlfriend.
