An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record silhouette art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single of I Shot The Sheriff by Eric Clapton from 1974. This vinyl single has been reworked into a silhouette of an old style western Sheriffs badge.

I Shot the Sheriff was originally written by Bob Marley and released in 1973 before being covered by Eric Clapton. The story is told from the point of view of a narrator who admits to having killed the local sheriff, and claims to be falsely accused of having killed the deputy sheriff. The narrator also claims to have acted in self-defence when the sheriff tried to shoot him.
