Additional information about this, Roy Orbison vinyl art.

Roy Orbison – The Artist

Roy Orbison (1936 – 1988) was an American singer, songwriter, and musician known for his powerful voice, wide vocal range, impassioned singing style, complex song structures, and dark, emotional ballads. The combination led many critics to describe his music as operatic, nicknaming him “the Caruso of Rock” and “the Big O”. While most male rock-and-roll performers in the 1950s and 1960s projected a defiant masculinity, many of Orbison’s songs instead conveyed vulnerability. During performances, he was known for standing still and solitary, and for wearing black clothes, to match his dyed jet-black hair and dark sunglasses, which lent an air of mystery to his persona. In the 1980s, he experienced a resurgence in popularity through the success of several cover versions of his songs, and in 1988, co-founded the Traveling Wilburys, a rock supergroup with George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, and Jeff Lynne. He died of a heart attack later that year, at the age of 52.

In Dreams – The Song

In Dreams is a song composed and sung by rock and roll performer Roy Orbison. An operatic ballad of lost love, it was released as a single on Monument Records in February 1963. It became the title track on the album In Dreams, released in July of the same year. The song has a unique structure in seven musical movements in which Orbison sings through two octaves, beyond the range of most rock and roll singers.

In Dreams by the legendary Roy Orbison is the feature music used in the January 2019 IKEA TV and cinema advert and August 2019 Dreams Bedding TV Advert.

A Domestic Sheep – The Shape

Modelled into the silhouette of a Domestic sheep. The Domestic sheep (Ovis aries) are quadrupedal, ruminant mammals typically kept as livestock. Numbering a little over one billion, domestic sheep are also the most numerous species of sheep. An adult female sheep is referred to as a ewe (/juː/), an intact male as a ram or occasionally a tup, a castrated male as a wether, and a younger sheep as a lamb. Sheep are one of the earliest animals to be domesticated for agricultural purposes, sheep are raised for fleeces, meat and milk. A sheep’s wool is the most widely used animal fibre, and is usually harvested by shearing. Ovinemeat is called lamb when from younger animals and mutton when from older ones in Commonwealth countries, and lamb in the United States (including from adults). Sheep continue to be important for wool and meat today, and are also occasionally raised for pelts, as dairy animals, or as model organisms for science (See Dolly).

Counting sheep is a mental exercise used in some cultures as a means of putting oneself to sleep.
