Fleetwood Mac – The Artist/s
Fleetwood Mac are a British-American rock band, formed in London in 1967. They have sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the world’s best-selling bands. Fleetwood Mac was founded by guitarist Peter Green, drummer Mick Fleetwood and guitarist Jeremy Spencer. Bassist John McVie completed the lineup for their self-titled debut album. At this time it was primarily a British blues band, and after a series of guitarist changes they where replaced by Lindsey Buckingham from folk-rock duo Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. Buckingham only agreed to join Fleetwood Mac if Stevie Nicks also joined. The addition of Buckingham and Nicks gave the band a more pop rock sound, and their 1975 self-titled album, Fleetwood Mac, reached No. 1.
Little Lies – The Song
‘Little Lies’ is a song by British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac from their fourteenth studio album Tango in the Night (1987). Written by band member Christine McVie and her then-husband, Eddy Quintela, the lead vocals were performed primarily by McVie, although the chorus of the song featured brief solo passages by Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. The song was released on 31 August 1987, by Warner Bros. Records, as the third single from Tango in the Night.
The Human Lips – The Shape
This record has been modelled into the silhouette of a pair of human lips. The tongue has been added, inspired by the songs chorus “Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies. Lips are a visible body part at the mouth of many animals, including humans. Lips are soft, movable, and serve as the opening for food intake and in the articulation of sound and speech. Human lips are a tactile sensory organ, and can be an erogenous zone when used in kissing and other acts of intimacy. Tears are a clear liquid secreted by the tear gland found in the eyes of nearly all land mammals. Their functions include lubricating the eyes, removing irritants, and aiding the immune system. Tears also occur as a part of the body’s natural pain response. Humans are the only mammals known to produce tears as part of an emotional response, such as out of joy or grief.
