Additional information about this, Edison Lighthouse vinyl art.

Edison Lighthouse – The Artists

Edison Lighthouse were an English pop band, formed in London, England in 1969. The band is best known for their 1970 hit single, “Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)” recorded in late 1969. The original line-up of Edison Lighthouse consisted of Tony Burrows (lead vocalist), Stuart Edwards (lead guitar), David Taylor (bass guitar), George Weyman (drums), and Ray Dorey (guitar). The group’s Top 40 hit “Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)” (1970) was one of four near-concurrent UK Singles Chart Top Ten hit singles that Burrows released under different names. The other songs are “Gimme Dat Ding” (The Pipkins), “My Baby Loves Lovin'” (White Plains), and “United We Stand” (Brotherhood of Man). Burrows was also lead vocalist on the single “Beach Baby” (1974) for another studio-only group, The First Class. Burrows left after “Love Grows”, and Macaulay (who owned the rights to the name Edison Lighthouse) brought in other musicians.

Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes) – The Song

Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes) is a song written by Tony Macaulay and Barry Mason. Essentially, they were a studio group with prolific session singer Tony Burrows providing the vocals. When the song became a hit, a group needed to be assembled rapidly to feature the song on Top of the Pops, a popular TV show.

The Garden Watering Can – The Shape

Modelled into a simple garden watering can and a heart. A watering can is a portable container, usually with a handle and a spout, used to water plants by hand. It has been in use since at least 79 A.D. and has since seen many improvements in design. The capacity of the container can be anywhere from 0.5 litres (for indoor household plants) to 10 litres (for general garden use). It is usually made of metal, ceramic or plastic. At the end of the spout, a “rose” (a device, like a cap, with small holes) can be placed to break up the stream of water into droplets, to avoid excessive water pressure on the soil or on delicate plants.
