An Individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record silhouette art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single featuring Love Theme From Spartacus by The Norman Newell Orchestra. Released on the Philips record label in 1971, this vinyl single has been reworked into the silhouette of a gladiators helmet over a heart.

Spartacus is a 1960 American epic historical drama film directed by Stanley Kubrick. The original score for Spartacus was composed and conducted by six-time Academy Award nominee Alex North. The Love Theme for Spartacus being probably the most accessible theme in the film. This record is a version of the Love Theme From Spartacus and was used as the theme for  The Onedin Line, a British Television drama about the rise of a fictional shipping company in Liverpool, during the eighteenth century.
