An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single featuring the song by the  American instrumental ensemble, B. Bumble & The Stingers from 1962, Nut Rocker. The record was released on the Top Rank International record label and has been reworked into the shape of  large nut eating squirrel.

Nut Rocker is a fast, lively track that is purely instrumental and was the B. Bumble & The Stingers’s biggest hit. It was a version of Tchaikovsky’s March of the Toy Soldiers, from his ballet The Nutcracker. At the time of its original release in the UK, the BBC had a policy of banning records which parodied classical music. Nut Rocker was put to committee, which decided that this instrumental piece is quite openly a parody of a Tchaikovsky dance tune, is clearly of an ephemeral nature, and in our opinion will not offend reasonable people, and was not therefore banned. Nut Rocker has been featured in many commercials, movies and television programmes such as Butcher Boy, Big Momma’s House and ITV’s Heartbeat.
