Additional information about this, Dire Straits vinyl art.

Dire Straits – The Artist

Dire Straits were a British rock band formed in London in 1977 by Mark Knopfler (lead vocals and lead guitar), David Knopfler (rhythm guitar and backing vocals), John Illsley (bass guitar and backing vocals), and Pick Withers (drums and percussion). They were active from 1977 to 1988 and again from 1991 to 1995. The band became one of the world’s best-selling music artists, with album sales of over 100 million

Private Investigations – The Song

Private Investigations is a song by the British rock band Dire Straits from their album Love over Gold. It reached number 2 in the United Kingdom (despite its length), and is one of their biggest chart successes in the UK. It is said the song was inspired by author Raymond Chandler. This song was also modified by Mark Knopfler into a film score for the Bill Forsyth movie Comfort and Joy in 1984, where you can hear the song broken up into portions and used for certain scenes.

Tintin – The Shape

This record has been modelled into the silhouette head of a Tintin. Tintin is the hero and central character from ‘The Adventures of Tintin’ which is a series of 24 comic albums created by Belgian cartoonist Georges Remi, who wrote under the pen name Hergé. The series was one of the most popular European comics of the 20th century. By 2007, a century after Hergé’s birth in 1907, Tintin had been published in more than 70 languages with sales of more than 200 million copies, and had been adapted for radio, television, theatre, and film. In the series Tintin is a courageous Belgian reporter and adventurer.
