An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single featuring the song by T.Rex (Marc Bolan) from 1970, Ride a White Swan. The record was released on the Fly record label, in the UK, and has been reworked into the shape of a majestic white swan.
Ride a White Swan was written by the group’s singer, guitarist and founder Marc Bolan. The band was previously known as Tyrannosaurus Rex and this was the first single to be release in their shorter name of T.Rex. Full of mythological references, the song, Ride a White Swan was supposedly written by Marc Bolan while under the influence of drink or drugs. It was the single that inadvertently founded glam rock mania and was their first big hit.
