Michael Jackson – The Artist

Michael Jackson (1958 – 2009) was an American singer, songwriter, and dancer. Dubbed the “King of Pop”, he was one of the most popular entertainers in the world and one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Jackson’s contributions to music, dance, and fashion along with his publicised personal life made him a global figure in popular culture for over four decades. Michael Jackson is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with estimated sales of over 350 million records worldwide. Thriller is the best-selling album of all time, with estimated sales of 66 million copies worldwide. In addition, the remix album Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix (1997) is the best-selling remix album of all time.

Rockin’ Robin – The Song

Rockin’ Robin is a song by American recording artist Michael Jackson. It was written by Leon René under the pseudonym of Jimmie Thomas and originally recorded by Bobby Day in 1958.  In 1972, Michael Jackson released his own version of “Rockin’ Robin”, which was released as a single from his gold-certified solo album titled Got to Be There as a follow-up single of the song of the same name. It was the biggest hit from the album and one of his early hits.

The European Robin – The Shape

This record has been modelled into the masked face of a European Robin. The European robin, known simply as the robin or robin redbreast in Ireland and Britain, is a small insectivorous passerine bird that belongs to the chat subfamily of the Old World flycatcher family. About 12.5–14.0 cm in length, the male and female are similar in colouration, with an orange breast and face lined with grey, brown upper-parts and a whitish belly. It is found across Europe, east to Western Siberia and south to North Africa; it is sedentary in most of its range except the far north..
