Additional information about this, Grace Jones vinyl art.

Grace Jones – The Artist

Grace Beverly Jones (born 1948) is a Jamaican-American supermodel, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress. Born in Jamaica she moved to New York to work as a model and in 1977 embarked on a music career. In the early 1980s, she moved toward a new wave style that drew on reggae, funk, post-punk and pop music. Since then she has worked in film and production.

Slave To The Rhythm – The Song

Slave To The Rhythm was the first single from Grace Jones’ album of the same name, which was released in 1985. The song and the album were written by Bruce Woolley, Simon Darlow, Stephen Lipson and Trevor Horn and produced by Horn. This was Grace’s first album in three years, and it contained eight variations of the same song. “Slave to the Rhythm” was originally intended for Frankie Goes to Hollywood as a follow-up to their hit debut single “Relax”. The song was assembled and produced by Horn after “Two Tribes”, but the project was given to Jones.

Grace Jones – The Shape

Modelled into the classic pose made famous by Grace Jones in which she hangs a cigarette from her mouth. A cigarette is a narrow cylinder containing burnable material, typically tobacco, that is rolled into thin paper for smoking. Across all forms of tobacco consumption both smoking and nonsmoking cigarettes are the most purchased and consumed tobacco item, creating a multibillion-dollar industry. Most commercially available cigarettes are manufactured the same way using tobacco that is treated with butterfat and sugar to mask the bitter taste of nicotine. Tobacco companies also use tobacco that has been freebased or modified to increase the speed of nicotine delivery. Cigarettes also contain tobacco that has been exposed to carbon dioxide to act as a cigarette filler.
