An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single featuring the song by T.Rex (Marc Bolan) from 1973, Teenage Dream. The record was released on the EMI record label, in the UK, and has been reworked into the shape of a dream thought cloud.

Teenage dream was written by the group’s singer, guitarist and founder Marc Bolan. After releasing records under the ‘T. Rex’ name, Teenage Dream was the first release to be credited to Marc Bolan and T. Rex. Bolan himself regarded Teenage Dream as the best lyric he had written.

The band was previously known as Tyrannosaurus Rex and this was the first single to be release in their shorter name of T.Rex.  Full of mythological references, the song, Ride a White Swan  was supposedly written by Marc Bolan while under the influence of drink or drugs. It was the single that inadvertently founded glam rock mania and was their first big hit.
