Additional information about this, Carpenters vinyl art.

Carpenters – The Artists

The Carpenters were an American vocal and instrumental duo consisting of siblings Karen (1950–1983) and Richard Carpenter (b. 1946). They produced a distinct soft musical style, combining Karen’s contralto vocals with Richard’s arranging and composition skills. During their 14-year career, the Carpenters recorded ten albums, along with numerous singles and several television specials.

Ticket To Ride – The Song

Ticket To Ride  is a Beatles song covered by American pop music duo the Carpenters for their debut studio album Offering. It was released in the UK as the B side along with ‘Saturday’ off their Christmas single ‘ Merry Christmas Darling.’ Arranged by Richard Carpenter, who made it a Ballard. The song became the plaint of a castoff lover, with the opening line: “I think I’m gonna be sad”, being sung repeatedly as the track fades.
The musicians on the recording were Karen Carpenter (lead and backing vocals, drums), Richard Carpenter (backing vocals, piano, Wurlitzer electric piano, orchestration), Joe Osborn (bass guitar), David Duke (French horn), Herb Alpert (shaker) and uncredited contributors on bell tree and tubular bells. Released as the duo’s first single –”Ticket to Ride” became the Carpenters’ first charting single, in both the US and the UK.

The Vintage Bus Ticket – The Shape

This record has been modelled into a vintage bus ticket. Vintage admission and fare tickets were originally wound on a roll and dispensed at the time of purchase and torn off the roll. Some tickets had an additional perforated edge that was torn off when entering the event or vehicle allowing the holder to retain proof of purchase and the vendor to keep tally of who had entered or was on board.
