Additional information about this, Was Not Was vinyl art.

Was Not Was – The Artist

Was (Not Was) is an American pop rock group led by David Weiss and Don Fagenson, who adopted the stage names David Was and Don Was. Founded in 1979 in Detroit, Michigan, their song catalog features an eclectic mix of pop, funk/soul and rock styles, often featuring guest musicians from across the musical spectrum. The band’s most popular period was during the 1980s and early 1990s. Their highest charting hit, the song “Walk the Dinosaur”, released in 1987 as the lead single from their 1988 album What Up, Dog?,  became a world-wide top-40 hit. The band went on indefinite hiatus in the mid-1990s, but has returned sporadically since the turn of the millennium.

Walk The Dinosaur  – The Song

‘Walk The Dinosaur’ is a song performed by Was (Not Was) and written by David Weiss, Don Fagenson and Randy Jacobs, released in 1987, from their album, What Up, Dog?. Lyrically the song is rather dark, about nuclear Armageddon however because of the accompanying Flintstonesque video with its infectious sing-along appeal and girls in little Pebbles and Bam-Bam outfits it became a good-time anthem.

The Brontosaurus Dinosaur – The Shape

Modelled into the silhouette of a brontosaurus dinosaur. Brontosaurus meaning “thunder lizard” from Greek “thunder” and, sauros “lizard” is a genus of gigantic quadruped sauropod dinosaurs. Brontosaurus had a long, thin neck and a small head adapted for a herbivorous lifestyle; a bulky, heavy torso; and a long, whip-like tail. The various species lived during the Late Jurassic epoch in the Morrison Formation of what is now North America, and were extinct by the end of the Jurassic. Adult individuals of Brontosaurus are estimated to have weighed up to 15 tonnes and measured up to 22 metres (72 ft) long. As the archetypal sauropod, Brontosaurus is one of the best-known dinosaurs having featured in film, advertising, and postage stamps, as well as many other types of media.
