Tina Turner – The Artist

Tina Turner (born 1939) is an American-born Swiss singer-songwriter, dancer, and actress. Turner rose to international prominence as a featured singer with Ike Turner’s Kings of Rhythm before recording hit singles both with Ike and as a solo performer. One of the world’s best-selling artists of all time, she has been referred to as The Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll and has sold more than 200 million records worldwide to date. She is noted for her energetic stage presence, powerful vocals, and career longevity.

We Don’t Need Another Hero (Thunderdome) – The Song

We Don’t Need Another Hero (Thunderdome) is  a song written by Graham Lyle and Terry Britten. It was recorded by American singer Tina Turner for the soundtrack album to the 1985 film Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, which starred Mel Gibson and Turner. On the heels of Turner’s multiplatinum album Private Dancer (1984), the song was released as an edited 7-inch single, while the full album version was released as a 12-inch single and on the film’s soundtrack album.

The Andamooka Buggy – The Shape

This record has been crafted into the Andamooka Bugggy, also known as Big Foot. It is the vehicle driven by Ironbar  Bassey from the 1985 film Mad Max (Beyond The Thunderdome). The notable scene is the final scene when it is driven head on with Max. Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (also known as Mad Max 3) is a 1985 Australian post-apocalyptic dystopian action film directed by George Miller and George Ogilvie and written by Terry Hayes and Miller. It is the third installment in the Mad Max franchise and the sequel to Mad Max 2 (1981). It is the only film in the franchise to be rated PG-13 by the MPAA. The film stars Mel Gibson and Tina Turner, the former in his final performance as “Mad Max” Rockatansky, a lone roving warrior who is exiled into the desert.
