An Individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record silhouette art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single of West End Girls from 1985  by Pet Shop Boys. Released on the Parlophone record label this vinyl single has been reworked into the silhouette of boy set over a map of East London. This record is also available modelled as a girl set over a map of West London.

West End Girls was written by Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe of the British pop duo Pet Shop Boys. The song is a synth-pop song influenced by hip hop music, with lyrics concerned with class and the pressures of inner-city life which were inspired partly by T. S. Eliot’s poem The Waste Land. Some assumed the song referred to prostitutes, but according to Tenant it was actually, “about rough East End Boys getting a bit of posh West End GirlsIt was generally well received by contemporary music critics and has been frequently cited as a highlight in the duo’s career.
