Additional information about this Louis Armstrong vinyl art.

Louis Armstrong – The Artist

Louis Daniel Armstrong (1901 – 1971), nicknamed Satchmo, Satch, and Pops, was an American trumpeter, composer, singer and occasional actor who was one of the most influential figures in jazz. His career spanned five decades, from the 1920s to the 1960s, and different eras in the history of jazz.

What A Wonderful World – The Song

What A wonderful World  is a pop ballad written by Bob Thiele (as “George Douglas”) and George David Weiss. It was first recorded by Louis Armstrong and released in 1967 as a single, which topped the pop charts in the United Kingdom.

The Heart – The Shape

The heart shape and its meaning has evolved over hundreds of years. Nowadays it means love but before the 13th and 14th centuries it was generally drawn for decorative purposes. People at that time thought of our hearts as books of memory and believed feelings for the beloved were somehow written on your heart.

This Louis Armstrong song references, green trees, red roses, blue skies, white clouds, starry nights, rainbows and babies, amongst other things, and it was this that inspired the picture collage background option.
