Wonderful Tonight is a ballad written by Eric Clapton. Clapton wrote the song about English Model, photographer and author Pattie Boyd, while waiting for Pattie to get ready to attend Paul and Linda McCartney’s annual Buddy Holly party. She was the first wife of both George Harrison and Eric Clapton.
