An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single featuring the disco song, Young Hearts Run Free by American soul and gospel singer, Candi Staton, from 1976. The record was released on the Warner Bros. record label, in the UK, and has been reworked into the shape of a running shoe and set over a heart.
Young Hearts Run Free was written by David Crawford and it became one of Candi Staton’s top hits and was later covered by many other artists. The deep meaningful lyrics are reputedly written from a conversation David Crawford had with Candi about her own relationship at the time.
