Chelsea Football Club – The Artist/s

The Chelsea Football Club is an English professional football club based in Fulham, West London. Founded in 1905, the club competes in the Premier League, the top division of English football. Chelsea are among England’s most successful clubs, having won over thirty competitive honours, including six league titles and seven European trophies. Their home ground is Stamford Bridge.

Blue is The Colour – The Song

Blue Is The Colour is a terrace chant associated with Chelsea Football Club. It was performed by the squad and released in 1972 to coincide with the club’s ultimately unsuccessful appearance in the League Cup final of that year against Stoke City. The record was issued on the Penny Farthing Records label and reached number 5 in the UK Charts and number 8 in Ireland in March 1972. It has become one of the most well-known English football songs.

The Chelsea F.C. Lion Emblem – The Shape

This vinyl single has been reworked into the silhouette of the lion taken from the Chelsea Football Club crest. The Chelsea logo was originally a simple “CFC” but this was changed in the 1950s by Ted Drake who wanted to modernise the club’s image. Soon the club used the now famous image of the lion holding a staff which is the Earl of Cadogan’s coat of arms.
