Additional information about this Queen vinyl art.

Queen – The Artist

Queen are a British rock band that formed in London in 1970. Their classic line-up was Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (lead guitar, vocals), Roger Taylor (drums, vocals), and John Deacon (bass guitar). Queen’s earliest works were influenced by progressive rock, hard rock and heavy metal, but the band gradually ventured into more conventional and radio-friendly works by incorporating further styles, such as arena rock and pop rock, into their music.

Bohemian Rhapsody – The Song

‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ was written by Freddie Mercury for the band’s 1975 album A Night at the Opera. It is a six-minute suite, consisting of several sections without a chorus: an intro, a ballad segment, an operatic passage, a hard rock part and a reflective coda. It was reportedly the most expensive single ever made at the time of its release. Although critical reaction was initially mixed, Bohemian Rhapsody remains one of Queen’s most popular songs and is frequently placed on lists of the greatest songs of all time.

The Grand Piano – The Shape

This record has been modelled into that of a Grand Piano as favoured by Freddie Mercury. The piano is an acoustic, stringed musical instrument invented in Italy by Bartolomeo Cristofori around the year 1700 (the exact year is uncertain), in which the strings are struck by hammers. It is played using a keyboard, which is a row of keys (small levers) that the performer presses down or strikes with the fingers and thumbs of both hands to cause the hammers to strike the strings.
