Additional information about this Bruce Springsteen, Born To Run, vinyl art.

Bruce Springsteen – The Artist

Bruce Springsteen is an American singer-songwriter and musician, known for his work with the E Street Band. Nicknamed “The Boss”, he is widely known for his brand of poetic lyrics, his Jersey Shore roots, his distinctive voice, and his energetic stage performances.

Born To Run – The Song

Born to Run is a song by American singer songwriter Bruce Springsteen, and the title song of his album Born to Run. Written in the first person, the song is a love letter to a girl named Wendy, for whom the hot rod-riding protagonist seems to possess the passion to love, just not the patience. However, Springsteen has noted that it has a much simpler core: getting out of Freehold.

The English Bull Terrier –  The Shape

This record has been modelled into the silhouette of an English Bull Terrier. The Bull Terrier is a breed of dog in the terrier family. The Bull Terrier’s most recognisable feature is its head, described as ‘egg-shaped head’, when viewed from the front; the top of the skull is almost flat. The profile curves gently downwards from the top of the skull to the tip of the nose, which is black and bent downwards at the tip, with well-developed nostrils. The lower jaw is deep and strong. The unique triangular eyes are small, dark, and deep-set. Bull Terriers are the only dogs that have triangular eyes. The body is full and round, with strong, muscular shoulders. The tail is carried horizontally. They are either white, red, fawn, black, brindle, or a combination of these.

The Bull Terrier became popular after  a fictional dog (bull terrier) character (called Spuds MacKenzie is) used for an extensive advertising campaign marketing Bud Light beer in the late 1980s. The Spuds MacKenzie mascot and campaign were thought of by a 23-year-old art director, Jon Moore. At the time he was working at Needham, Harper & Steers, a Chicago advertising agency. The dog first showed up in a Bud Light Super Bowl XXI ad in 1987.
