Additional information about this, Captain And Tennille vinyl art.

Captain And Tennille- The Artist

Captain & Tennille were American recording artists whose primary success occurred in the 1970s.The husband-and-wife duo were “Captain” Daryl Dragon (1942 – 2019) and Toni Tennille (born 1940). They have five albums certified gold or platinum and scored numerous hits on the US singles charts, the most enduring of which included “Love Will Keep Us Together”, “Do That to Me One More Time”, and “Muskrat Love”. They hosted their own television variety series on ABC in 1976–77. They also had numerous hits in the UK.

Shop Around – The Song

‘Shop Around’ is a song originally recorded by The Miracles on Motown Records’ Tamla subsidiary label. It was written by Miracles lead singer Smokey Robinson and Motown Records founder Berry Gordy. It became a smash hit in 1960 when originally recorded by The Miracles. It was The Miracles first million-selling hit record, and the first-million-selling hit for the Motown Record Corporation.  In 1976, the American pop music duo Captain & Tennille recorded their version of “Shop Around” for their second studio album ‘Song of Joy’ issued on the A&M Records label. Toni Tennille changed the lyrics slightly so that they were sung from a woman’s perspective.

Supermarket Shopping Trolley – The Shape

This record has been cut into a present-day supermarket shopping trolley. A shopping trolley (British English), or cart (American English), is a wheeled cart supplied by a shop or store, especially supermarkets, for use by customers inside the premises for transport of merchandise as they move around the premises, while shopping, prior to heading to the checkout counter, cashiers or tills. Increasing the amount of goods a shopper can collect increases the quantities they are likely to purchase in a single trip, boosting store profitability. In many cases customers can then also use the cart to transport their purchased goods to their vehicles.
