An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single featuring the song by American pop singer, Madonna from 1985, Dress You Up. The record was released on the Sire record label, in the UK, and has been reworked into the shape of a card tab dress-up dress which was a popular toy in the sixties and seventies.
Dress You Up was written by Andrea LaRusso and Peggy Stanziale. It was the final single to be taken from Madonna’s second album, Like A Virgin. It was her sixth consecutive hit. The lyrics are an extended metaphor for fashion and sex, comparing dressing up with passion.
