Going Underground – The Jam (1980) [Vespa]


An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single featuring the hit single by The Jam, from 1980, Going Underground. Released on the Polydor record label, in the UK, this anthem has been reworked into the shape of a vintage Vespa scooter.

Going Underground is the first British number-one chart single by The Jam, released in March 1980. It went straight in at number one in the UK Singles Chart. Going Underground was not released on any of the band’s six studio albums, although it has appeared on many compilations and re-releases since then.
