Additional information about this, Ottawan vinyl art.

Ottawan – The Artist/s

Ottawan was a French pop music duo, who had the hit singles “D.I.S.C.O.” and “Hands Up (Give Me Your Heart)” in the early 1980s. Fronted by Caribbean-born Patrick Jean-Baptiste and Annette Eltice, they were masterminded through a cooperation between French producer Daniel Vangarde and Belgian producer Jean Kluger.

Hands Up (Give Me Your Heart) – The Song

Hands Up (Give Me Your Heart)’ is a disco song written by Daniel Vangarde and Jean Klugerand and performed by  Ottawan. It was the band’s second-biggest international hit single, after their 1979 hit “D.I.S.C.O.”. The song reached the Top 5 across Europe and became a number one in New Zealand. It was not released in North America until 1991 as a remix.

The Pistol Finger – The Shape

Inspired by the records picture sleeve this record is modelled into a a human hand mimicking a hand gun with with the index finger pointing at a heart. Hands up is a colloquial name for the human (or primate) gesture of surrender.
