Have I Told You lately – The Song

Have I Told You Lately is a song written by Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison and recorded for his album Avalon Sunset (1989). It is a romantic ballad that is often played at weddings, although it was originally written as a prayer. Rod Stewart covered the song in 1993 and released a live album version as a single.

The Heart

The heart shape  and its meaning has evolved over hundreds of years.  Nowadays it means love but before the 13th and 14th centuries it was generally drawn for decorative purposes. People at that time thought of our hearts as books of memory and believed feelings for the beloved were somehow written on your heart.
