Tony Bennett – The Artist

Anthony Dominick Benedetto (1926 – 2023), known professionally as Tony Bennett, was an American singer. Bennett amassed many accolades, including during his career and sold more than 50 million records worldwide and earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Tony Bennett reached his artistic peak in the late 1950s and after a brief downturn in his popularity in the 70s staged a comeback in the late 1980s and 1990s. During this period his he released more successful records and expanded his reach to a younger generation while keeping his musical style intact. Throughout his lifetime, he sang several duets and organised concerts with many acclaimed American and foreign singers, including Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Connie Francis, Vicente Fernández, Elena Zagorskaya, and Amy Winehouse.

(I Lost my Heart) in San Fransisco – The Song

‘(I Lost my. Heart) in San Francisco)’  is cover by Tony Bennett.  It is a popular song, written in the fall of 1953 in Brooklyn, New York, with music by George Cory (1920–1978) and lyrics by Douglass Cross (1920–1975) and best known as the signature song of Tony Bennett. Lyrically the song was about two amateur writers nostalgic for San Francisco after moving to New York.  The song is one of the official anthems for the city of San Francisco. In 2018, it was selected for preservation in the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress as being “culturally, historically, or artistically significant”.

The San Francisco Skyline – The Shape

This record has been modelled into the San Francisco Skyline in the United States of America. San Francisco, officially the City and County of San Francisco, is a commercial, financial, and cultural centre of Northern California. The city proper is the fourth most populous city in California, with 808,437 residents, and the 17th most populous city in the United States as of 2022, and covers a land area of 46.9 square miles (121 square kilometres), at the end of the San Francisco Peninsula, making it the second most densely populated large U.S. city after New York City and the fifth-most densely populated U.S. county, behind only four of the five New York City boroughs. Among the 91 U.S. cities proper with over 250,000 residents, San Francisco was ranked first by per capita income and sixth by aggregate income as of 2021. Colloquial nicknames for San Francisco include Frisco, San Fran, The City, and SF.
