Additional information about this, Steve ‘Silk’ Hurley vinyl art.

Steve ‘Silk’ Hurley – The Artist

Steve W. “Silk” Hurley (born 1962), also known as J. M. Silk (for “Jack Master Silk”), is an American club DJ, house music producer, and songwriter. He has had various dance hits in the 80’s in collaboration with Keith Nunnally as J. M. Silk (With “Jack Your Body”) and as a solo artist.

Jack Your Body – The Song

Jack Your Bodyis a house music song by Steve “Silk” Hurley, originally released as a single in 1986. It was featured on the album Hold on to Your Dream, released in 1987, under the alias J.M. Silk. One of the landmark records in the history of house music, “Jack Your Body” was composed and produced by Hurley. The title refers to jacking, an ecstatic dance style that emerged within the Chicago house scene since the early to mid 1980s.

The Dancers – The Shape

This record has been modelled into a male and female dancing couple. Dance is an art form, often classified as a sport, consisting of sequences of body movements with aesthetic and often symbolic value, either improvised or purposefully selected. Dance can be categorised and described by its choreography, by its repertoire of movements or by its historical period or place of origin. Dance is typically performed with musical accompaniment, and sometimes with the dancer simultaneously using a musical instrument themselves.
