Additional information about this Queen vinyl art.

Queen – The Artist

Queen are a British rock band that formed in London in 1970. Their classic line-up was Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (lead guitar, vocals), Roger Taylor (drums, vocals), and John Deacon (bass guitar). Queen’s earliest works were influenced by progressive rock, hard rock and heavy metal, but the band gradually ventured into more conventional and radio-friendly works by incorporating further styles, such as arena rock and pop rock, into their music.

Let Me Entertain You – The Song

Let Me Entertain You was written by Freddie Mercury, directed towards the audience. The line “we’ll sing to you in Japanese” is a reference to May’s Teo Torriatte, from A Day at the Races. The song also contains a reference to their tour manager, Gerry Stickells with the line “Hey! If you need a fix, if you want a high, Stickells will see to that.” And then, on the very next line, Mercury mentions Queen’s record labels at the time (Elektra, and EMI) with the line “With Elektra and EMI; we’ll show you where it’s at!”. It was taken from Queens seventh studio album , Jazz and appears as the b-side to the single Save Me.

Video Game Controller – The Shape

The Video game controller is a device that enables a player to control their character or device within a video game. They have evolved over the years but usually consist of a series of buttons that are programmed to access various moves or features. They have replaced the original video game joystick. This particular conroller more closley resembles that of the Microsoft X-Box Controller.
