The Proclaimers – The Artist
The Proclaimers are a Scottish music duo composed of twin brothers Charlie and Craig Reid (born 5 March 1962). They are best known for their songs “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)”, “Sunshine on Leith”, “I’m On My Way” and “Letter from America”, and their singing style with a Scottish accent. The band tours extensively throughout the world. They have released 11 studio albums since 1987.
Let’s Get Married – The Song
Let’s Get Married is a song by Scottish rock duo and brothers the Proclaimers. Released in February 1994 by Chrysalis Records, it was the lead single from their third studio album, Hit the Highway (1994). As the title strongly suggests, this is a marriage-themed song and it was produced by Pete Wingfield. The single charted in the United Kingdom, Austria, Iceland and Canada. Released in the United Kingdom in February 1994, the music video for “Let’s Get Married”, directed by Lindy Heymann,[5] was filmed in the Mojave Desert and in Las Vegas.
