Guns N’ Roses – The Artist

Guns N’ Roses, often abbreviated as GNR, is an American hard rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1985. When they signed to Geffen Records in 1986, the band comprised vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Steven Adler. The current lineup consists of Rose, Slash, McKagan, keyboardist Dizzy Reed, guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrer and keyboardist Melissa Reese. In their early years, the band’s hedonism and rebelliousness drew comparisons to the early Rolling Stones and earned them the nickname “the most dangerous band in the world.” Guns N’ Roses have sold more than 100 million records worldwide, including 45 million in the United States.

Live And Let Die – The Song

Live And Let Die is the main theme song of the 1973 James Bond film, Live and Let Die, written by Paul and Linda McCartney and performed by Wings. Gun N’ Roses did their version which was released as the second single from the Use Your Illusion I album and the fourth out of all the Use Your Illusion singles. A music video was made in November 1991 featuring the band playing live on stage and showing old pictures. The song was nominated for “Best Hard Rock Performance” during the 1993 Grammy Awards.

Gun Barrel – The Shape

Modelled into the simple silhouette of the infamous view down the barrel of a gun as featured in the opening credits of almost every James Bond film. Commander James Bond, CMG, RNVR, is a fictional spy created by the British journalist and novelist Ian Fleming in 1953. He is the protagonist of the James Bond series of novels, films, comics and video games. Fleming wrote twelve Bond novels and two short story collections.

I am a big 007 fan. It’s a pity it was not the Wings version, but good fun anyway.
