Eartha Kitt – The Artist

Eartha Mae Kitt (1927 – 2008) was an American singer and actress. She was known for her highly distinctive singing style and her 1953 recordings of “C’est si bon” and the Christmas novelty song “Santa Baby”.Kitt began her career in 1942 and appeared in the 1945 original Broadway theatre production of the musical Carib Song. In the early 1950s, Kitt had six US Top 30 entries, including “Uska Dara” (1953) and “I Want to Be Evil” (1953). Her other recordings include the UK Top 10 song “Under the Bridges of Paris” (1954), “Just an Old Fashioned Girl” (1956) and “Where Is My Man” (1983). Orson Welles once called her the “most exciting woman in the world”. Kitt starred as Catwoman in the third and final season of the television series Batman in 1967.

I Love Men- The Song

I Love Men is a song performed by Eartha Kitt and written by Jacques Morali, Fred Zarr and Bruce Vilanch. It was taken from her studio album of the same name. This was her first album recorded for 14 years. The album was recorded in New York at the Power Station. Produced by French record producer Jacques Morali, who had previously produced recordings by the Village People and The Ritchie Family. This album features Kitt performing Euro disco, dance tracks. The success of this album led to a new collaboration between Kitt and Jacques Morali in 1985 when they recorded two more tracks, “I Don’t Care” and “This Is My Life”; the latter also went on to chart in the UK in 1986 at #73. These tracks were also added to later re-issues of the original album.

The Man – The Shape

This record has been modelled into the silhouette of a man inspired by the songs lyrics. A man is an adult male human. Before adulthood, a male child or adolescent is referred to as a boy.Like most other male mammals, a man’s genome usually inherits an X chromosome from the mother and a Y chromosome from the father. Sex differentiation of the male fetus is governed by the SRY gene on the Y chromosome. During puberty, hormones which stimulate androgen production result in the development of secondary sexual characteristics that result in even more differences between the sexes. These include greater muscle mass, greater height, the growth of facial hair and a lower body fat composition. Male anatomy is distinguished from female anatomy by the male reproductive system, which includes the testicles, sperm ducts, prostate gland and epididymides, and penis. Secondary sex characteristics include a narrower pelvis and hips, and smaller breasts and nipples.
Throughout human history, traditional gender roles have often defined men’s activities and opportunities. Men often face conscription into military service or are directed into professions with high mortality rates. Many religious doctrines stipulate certain rules for men, such as religious circumcision. Men are over-represented as both perpetrators and victims of violence.
Trans men have a gender identity that does not align with their female sex assignment at birth, while intersex men may have sex characteristics that do not fit typical notions of male biology.
