Additional information about this Diana Ross vinyl art.

Diana Ross – The Artist

Diana Ross (born March 26, 1944) is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and record producer. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Ross rose to fame as the lead singer of the vocal group the Supremes, which, during the 1960s, became Motown’s most successful act, and are the best charting girl group in US history, as well as one of the world’s best-selling girl groups of all time. Following her departure from the Supremes in 1970, Diana Ross released her eponymous debut solo album that same year, which contained the Top 20 Pop hit “Reach Out and Touch (Somebody’s Hand)” and the number-one Pop hit “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”.

My Old Piano – The Song

“My Old Piano” is a song by American singer Diana Ross. The song, written and produced by Chic members Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards, was released as a from her tenth studio album, Diana (1980). In the song Diana Ross sings the song about the joy of playing a piano, describing it as if it were a person.

The Grand Piano – The Shape

This record has been cut into a grand piano as seen on the video supporting this records release and on the picture record sleeve. The piano is an acoustic, stringed musical instrument invented in Italy by Bartolomeo Cristofori around the year 1700 (the exact year is uncertain), in which the strings are struck by hammers. It is played using a keyboard,[1] which is a row of keys (small levers) that the performer presses down or strikes with the fingers and thumbs of both hands to cause the hammers to strike the strings.
