Additional information about this, The Stranglers vinyl art.

The Stranglers – The Artist

The Stranglers are an English rock band who emerged via the punk rock scene. Scoring some 23 UK top 40 singles and 17 UK top 40 albums to date in a career spanning four decades, the Stranglers are one of the longest-surviving and most “continuously successful” bands to have or they originally built a following within the mid-1970s pub rock scene. While their aggressive, no-compromise attitude identified them as one of the instigators of the UK punk rock scene that followed, their idiosyncratic approach rarely followed any single musical genre and the group went on to explore a variety of musical styles, from new wave, art rock, gothic rock and pop. The original personnel were drums / Jet Black, bass player/vocalist Jean-Jacques Burnel, guitarist/vocalist Hugh Cornwell and keyboardist/guitarist Hans Wärmling, who was replaced by keyboardist Dave Greenfield within a year.

No More Heroes – The Song

No More Heores  is a song by The Stranglers, released as a single from their album of the same name. It is one of the group’s most successful singles (featuring regularly both in greatest hits and punk/new wave compilation albums), having peaked at No. 8 in the UK Singles Chart. The song’s lyrics refer to several historical figures, including Elmyr de Hory, Leon Trotsky, Lenny Bruce, William Shakespeare and fictional character Sancho Panza.

Funereal Wreath – The Shape

Modelled into a funereal wreath and bow (Wreath of Remembrance) as depicted on the 7″ records sleeve and album cover. The wreath is an assortment of flowers, leaves, fruits, twigs, or various materials that is constructed to form a ring. In English-speaking countries, wreaths are used typically as household ornaments, most commonly as an Advent and Christmas decoration. They are also used in ceremonial events in many cultures around the globe. The symbolism of wreaths has been used at funerals since at least the time of Ancient Greece, to represent a circle of eternal life. Evergreen wreaths were laid at the burial place of early Christian virgin martyrs in Europe, the evergreen representing the victory of the eternal spirit over death.
