An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record silhouette art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single, Oh, Pretty Woman from 1964, by Roy Orbison. Released on the Monument record label, this vinyl single has been reworked into the silhouette head of Roy Orbison with his unmistakable dark glasses and slicked back hair.

Oh, Pretty Woman was written by Orbison and Bill Dees. It was a huge international success and marked the high point in Orbison’s career. The lyrics tell the story of a man who sees a pretty woman walking by. He yearns for her and wonders if, as beautiful as she is, she might be lonely like he is. At the last minute, she turns back and joins him.

Oh, Pretty Woman was used as the title track for the 1990 romantic comedy, Pretty Woman, starring Richard Gere and Julia Roberts.
