An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record silhouette art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single of ‘One Step beyond…’ by English ska and pop band Madness. The single has been carefully reworked into the familiar M of Madness representing the hatted, square shouldered Ska man.

The 1979 hit single, also the title of their debut album, was originally written and recorded by the Jamaican ska musician Prince Buster. One Step Beyond… the album was ranked 90th in a 2005 survey held by British television’s Channel 4 to determine the 100 greatest albums of all time.

This piece has been modelled from the ‘One Step Beyond’ single but the Ska man / M shape can be cut from other Madness singles if required. Please contact us if interested.
