Sleeper – The Artist

Sleeper are an English rock band formed in London in 1992. The group had eight UK Top 40 hit singles and three UK Top 10 albums during the 1990s. Their music was also featured in the soundtrack of the pop cultural hit movie Trainspotting. The band split up in 1998, but reunited in 2017. The Original band line-up consisted of Louise Wener (Vocals), Jon Stewart (Lead Guitar), Andy Mclure (Drums), Diid Osman (Bass Guitar) and has since its formation gone through a variety of band changes. In the current line up Kieron Pepper has replaced Diid on bass guitar.

Sale of The Century – The Song

Sale of The Century’ is a 1996 song by Britpop band Sleeper, written by the band’s vocalist/guitarist Louise Wener and drummer Andy Maclure. In Europe, “Sale of the Century” was the second single to be released from their second album The It Girl in 1996 and became the group’s first top ten hit on the UK Singles Chart. Louise Wener said of the protagonist of “Sale of the Century”: “Love makes you a little insane, yet rationality always kicks in. Dreamy persistence fascinates me, but so does powerlessness, ruined lives, and people who can’t or don’t get what they want.”

The London Skyline – The Shape

This record is modelled into the London Skyline. Images are not too scale or in their correct position but have been arranged creatively to work with the constraints of the record label.
