Fleetwood Mac – The Artist

Fleetwood Mac are a British-American rock band, formed in London in 1967. They have sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the world’s best-selling bands. Fleetwood Mac was founded by guitarist Peter Green, drummer Mick Fleetwood and guitarist Jeremy Spencer. Bassist John McVie completed the lineup for their self-titled debut album.  At this time it was primarily a British blues band, and after a series of guitarist changes they where replaced by Lindsey Buckingham from folk-rock duo Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. Buckingham only agreed to join Fleetwood Mac if Stevie Nicks also joined. The addition of Buckingham and Nicks gave the band a more pop rock sound, and their 1975 self-titled album, Fleetwood Mac, reached No. 1.

Say You Love Me – The Song

“Say You Love Me”  is a song written by singer Christine McVie, for Fleetwood Mac’s 1975 self-titled album. The song peaked at #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks, and remains one of their best known songs. Its success helped the group’s eponymous 1975 album to sell over 8 million copies worldwide. In the UK, “Say You Love Me” was the fourth single from the Fleetwood Mac album, but the first to chart, where it peaked at number 40 on the UK Singles Chart in September 1976. McVie wrote “Say You Love Me” after her fifth year in the band. During the writing of this song, she was married to John McVie, bassist of Fleetwood Mac.

Heart Within a Speech Dialogue Balloon – The Shape

This 7″ record has been modelled into a a heart set with a speech dialogue box. Speech balloons (also speech bubbles, dialogue balloons or word balloons) are a graphic convention used most commonly in comic books, comics and cartoons to allow words (and much less often, pictures) to be understood as representing the speech or thoughts of a given character in the comic. There is often a formal distinction between the balloon that indicates thoughts and the one that indicates words spoken aloud: the balloon that conveys thoughts is often referred to as a thought bubble.
